What is the pattern in Bradbury's warnings?

Post for each other... what pattern do you see, where do you see it?

What is Ray Bradbury Worried About?

Okay 2nd period English, time to chime in on The Martian Chronicles. Let's start with this question...

What, in your opinion, is Ray Bradbury's greatest concern about humanity? (Here are some ideas... messing up the environment, censorship, prejudice, greed, lack of openness to others, violence, lack of imagination, tendency to dwell on negatives, some combination of these, or something else entirely).

When you post what you think Bradbury is most concerned about, please tie your thought to at least one of the Chronicles (the stories).

Somebody made a really goofy movie of the book

Just getting started...

Okay 2nd period 7th grade English, don't give me a hard time - I am trying.

No, I am not nearly as cool or technologically adept as your SOCCOM teachers, but here is my first attempt at a blog for this class. Please feel free to post how you think we might be able to use this to enhance our English class. This is new to me as well, so let's make it useful for us together.

Thanks,

Mr. O

Two of our favorite To Kill a Mockingbird Scenes

Here are two clips from the Gregory Peck version of To Kill a Mockingbird.

#1 - Scout innocently saves the day at the jailhouse.

#2 - The famous closing argument scene as delivered by Gregory Peck.

Welcome to my first ever blog...

Good luck to us all as this is the first time I have tried to use a blog as a teaching tool or as a tool for anything whatsoever. I welcome ideas on how I can use this for class, so let me know if you have any good ideas.
